On-Campus Student Jobs – Which is which?
Is your on-campus student job for you?
An on-campus student job is as tricky as looking for a permanent job. You need to prove that you can juggle school and your job, never failing in either one. Of course, you’d also have to give yourself ample time to relax because you’re still a student; aren’t you supposed to be juggling school, friends and family instead? But the world is changing and you have to put up with it.
Before you go out and start searching for your on-campus job, consider a few things.
1. What are your talents and/or specialties?
2. Is that job connected to what you’re studying?
3. Will you enjoy yourself there?
The student came before the on-campus job
You have to remember that you were a student before an employee. Your studies always have to come before any work that your student job might give you. It will be a hard choice especially because you earn money when you work and that doesn’t happen when you’re studying. But you need to set your priorities straight. Remember: studies first before your on-campus student job!
